Best Budz NJ is a licensed New Jersey adult-use (recreational) cannabis dispensary, independently owned and minority-owned, located at 249 US-46, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663 (Bergen County). We operate under New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (NJ-CRC) license number RE000152.

This website (bestbudznj.com) is purely informational. It describes our store, product categories (without prices), staff picks, educational content, partner brands, and the areas we serve. You cannot buy anything, add anything to a cart, or check out on this website.

If you choose to order online, that happens on a separate third-party platform at shop.bestbudznj.com/saddle-brook. This website only links out to that platform. Any purchase, payment, or fulfillment is governed by that platform's own terms and privacy policy, not by this one.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies only to the informational website at bestbudznj.com. It does not apply to the separate online-ordering platform, to any partner brand or third-party site we link to, or to our social media pages, each of which has its own privacy practices.

Because this website has no accounts, no login, and no contact or newsletter form, you do not hand us personal information directly through the website. The sections below describe the data handling that does occur when you visit, including the analytics we use.

3. Age Confirmation Stored in Your Browser

New Jersey cannabis regulations and responsible practice call for age affirmation so that our content is presented only to adults 21 and older. Before you can view the site, an age gate asks you to confirm that you are 21 or older.

When you confirm, the site saves a single entry in your browser's local storage (localStorage) named "bb_age_ok." This entry simply records that you confirmed you are 21 or older, along with an expiration timestamp (by default about 30 days) so you are not asked again on every visit.

This age-confirmation entry is strictly functional. It is not a cookie. It is not used for analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking, it is not linked to your identity, and it is never transmitted off your device or shared with anyone. It stays in your own browser until it expires or you clear it.

4. Cookies and Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people find and use the site — which pages are read, which towns visitors come from in general terms, and whether visitors arrive from search, social media, or a link. We use this to improve the site, not to identify you.

Google Analytics sets two cookies in your browser:

• "_ga" — distinguishes one browser from another using a randomly generated identifier. It expires about two years after it is set.
• "_ga_CTLT57D0GR" — keeps track of the current visit for our specific analytics property. It expires about two years after it is set.

5. What the Analytics Do and Do Not Collect

Through Google Analytics we receive aggregated reporting about pages viewed, how long visitors stay, the site or search that referred them, the general type of device and browser used, and an approximate geographic area. The approximate location is derived by Google from your IP address; your full IP address is not shown to us in analytics reporting.

The analytics do not collect your name, email address, or phone number, because this website has no form or account that would ask for them. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine analytics data with anything you send us by phone or email.

No advertising or remarketing pixels run on this website — there is no Google Ads conversion tag, no Meta (Facebook) pixel, and no TikTok pixel. We do not use device fingerprinting.

Google Analytics does offer optional advertising features, such as Google Signals and ad personalization, which are switched on or off inside the Google Analytics account rather than on this website. If those features are enabled for our property, some U.S. state privacy laws may treat the resulting data sharing as "targeted advertising." You can opt out of analytics entirely using the controls described in the "Your Choices and Privacy Rights" section below.

Google processes this information as our service provider, and Google's own privacy policy applies to its handling of it. Analytics data is kept for the retention period configured in our Google Analytics account, after which Google deletes it.

The fonts used on the site are self-hosted by us, so displaying the site does not cause your browser to contact a third-party font service.

6. Server and Access Logs (Hosting and Content Management)

This website is hosted on Netlify, and its content is managed in Storyblok, a headless content management system. As part of the normal, technical operation of any website, our hosting provider may automatically process standard server and access log data.

This log data can include information such as your IP address, your browser type and user-agent, and the pages you requested. It is used for ordinary purposes like keeping the site secure, reliable, and functioning correctly.

We do not use this log data to identify you as an individual, and we do not use it for marketing.

7. Google Maps Embedded on Our Site

Some pages on this website embed a Google map (via an iframe from Google) so you can find and get directions to our store. This embedded map appears on our home page and on our "Areas We Serve" landing pages. Our main Location page does not embed the map; it shows our address and hours as text with an outbound "Get directions" link that only contacts Google if you choose to click it.

When a page that contains the embedded map loads, your browser contacts Google directly to fetch that map. As a result, Google may receive data about your visit and may set its own cookies, all under Google's own privacy policy. This happens between your browser and Google and is outside our control.

Google is contacted only on the pages where the map appears — the home page and the Areas We Serve pages. If you prefer to limit this, you can manage or block the cookies Google sets through your browser's own settings and controls.

No website or method of transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. This is one reason the site collects so little: there is no account, no login, no payment processing, and no form on this website.
